The Sixth book of the year.  2767 pages at an average of 461 pages per book.

"For Whom the Bell Tolls" written by Ernest Hemingway.  471 Pages.

The fifth book of the year.  2332 pages at an average of 466 pages per book.

"The Life of Pie" written by Yann Martel.  319 pages.

"What to listen for in Music" written by Aaron Copland.  298 pages.

The third and fourth books of the year.  1861 pages at an average of 465 pages per book.

"The Exile" written by Alan Folsom.  690 pages.

The second book of the year. 1244 pages at an average of 622 pages per book.

So, 2012 is finished.  80 books read, 28,836 pages at an average of 360 pages.   This is the second most book I've ever read in a year (96 is the record in 2008) by far my highest average of pages per book (the previous record 332 also in 2008).

The goal of 2013 will still be the same - 52 books read.

Now to the first book finished this year:

"And Quiet Flow the Don" written by Mikhail Sholokhov.  554 pages.
