This is thirteenth successive time I have participated in the read-a-thon going back to June 2008. So, as I am a stat geek here are some stats.
Total Pages Read: Most - 1433 (April 2014), Least - 635 (October 2011), Average - 1071
Total Time Read: Most - 14 hours 4 minutes (October 2008), Least - 8 hrs 45 minutes (October 2011), Average 11 hrs 35 minutes
Books Finished: Most - 6 (April 2014), Least 2 (4 times), Average 3.3
Also, won a prize for the very first time yesterday!!

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today? The Woodlands, TX 2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? I don't have a stack. I read through books in the order I buy them generally and really look forward to what is ahead. I like the surprise!! 3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? My wife and her friend have made several. All will be good!! 4) Tell us a little something about yourself! Ex-Pat English now Texan!! 5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to? I've participated in many. I generally keep it the same as it is one of my favourite (see still English despite now being Texan!) two days of the year.
So, we are off and running. My first book is the one I am currently reading. It is "The Captain and the Enemy" written by Graham Greene. Not a long book I am page 145 out of 189.
Born in Hartlepool, England. Left home age 18 to go to The University of Bradford. Earned a degree in Chemistry and Chemical Technology. Moved to London to work. Married Jenn, from TX, in 1997. Moved to High Wycombe. After 1 year of marriage moved to Edna, TX. Then job moves took us the Bay Area of CA in Jan 1999, then to Raleigh, NC in Oct 2001 followed by a move back to the Houston, TX area in Jan 2011.
