 Here are my final reading stats from 2025

Books finished:  190.  This was the joint fourth most with the record of 243 in 2022.   I read 59,398 pages which was the fifth most.   The record is 74,393 from 2022.   

Average # of pages per book: 313.   The highest average number of pages per book was 420 in 2013.

I read authors born in 43 different countries compared to 47 last year:  1. USA: 80, 2. England: 42, 3. Scotland: 12, 4. Russia: 9 and 5. India and Ukraine with 6.   

I read authors born in 26 different USA States (incl DC):  1. California  18, 2. New York 10, 3. New Jersey, and Pennsylvania: 6 and 5. Texas and Michigan: 5.   Last year was 26 different States.  

   
I read books with titles starting with 23 different letters of the alphabet.  I missed U, X, and Z.

I read authors with last names starting with 25 different letters.  I did not read X 

I read authors who won the Booker Prize (2), the Nobel Prize (4),  the Pulitzer Prize (8) and the Woman's Prize (1)

I read the most books published in 2024 (15) the newest book was published in 2025 and the oldest book I read was published in 1845.

My average rating of books was 3.7 (last year was 3.7)

Since I've started tracking the number of books (2005) I have read 2577 which means an average of 123 per year.   Since I've started tracking the # of pages (2008) I have  read 813,392 pages at an average of 44,188 per year at an average of 334 per book.

This years goal is 123 books.
