I finished reading:
"The Other South - Southern Dissenters in the Nineteenth Century" written by Carl N. Degler. 371 Pages.
A powerful read. It is so staggering that so much hate could actually have happened. We talk about Nazi Germany or Stalin's Russia, but, to read things like this so close to home really makes one think. Also, interestingly it highlights how the big political parties in the US have switched in as far as the voting demographics. Having a "minority" President now seems incredible after reading this book, it's like coming coming out of a different world. A definite sign of progress being good!!
The 41st book of the year, 13,156 pages at an average of 321 pages per book.
