England beat The West Indies by 1 wicket. World Cup 2nd Round. England finish the 2nd round in 5th place and therefore are eliminated.

Rugby Union: West Hartlepool 21 Sheffield Tigers 18. League North Two East. West finish the Season with a record of 14 wins and 8 losses for 28 points. They finish in third place 14 behind league Champions, Middlesbrough.
