The next poem I am going to post is against the Commercialism of Christmas.

Commercial Christmas

The tills link as
Shoppers rushing in the eternal haze
Grabbing what they can
In their celebration of Christmas.

Shop keepers grin,
As they see their profits soar,
Up in the sky
Where the Christmas lights shine.

The wine corks pop.
The drink flowsm the food eaten,
But where is Jesus?
After all it is His party!!

Hartlepool, England - Christmas 1989
